David
Bromberg
He
has such control of his audience that he can, at one
moment, hold it in his hand with a tender, touching yet
funny anecdotal songset it romping and stomping with a
raucous bit of raunch. He is electrifying. - NY
Times
Raised in
Tarrytown, NY, Bromberg attended Columbia University in
the 1960s and studied guitar with Reverend Gary Davis
during that period. He has played with many famous
musicians, including Jerry Jeff Walker, Willie Nelson,
Jorma Kaukonen, Jerry Garcia, and Bob Dylan, and co-wrote
the song "The Holdup", with former Beatle
George Harrison, who played on Bromberg's self-titled
1971 album.
He began releasing albums of his own in the early 1970s
on Columbia Records. His seven-minute rendition of "Mr.
Bojangles" from 1972's Demon in Disguise,
interspersed with tales about traveling with song author
Jerry Jeff Walker, earned progressive rock radio airplay.

Musicians Network Welcomes:
"Scott
Murray sings like a bird." - Townes van
Zandt
Scott moved to Nashville in the
early 1990's. While there, he opened for Emmylou
Harris, Bruan Bowers, Goose Creek Symphony and
Suzy Bogguss. He also shared the state with
Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, Shelby Lynn, Mary
Chapin Carpenter, Kathy Mattea and Henry Gross.
Scott was named Grand Prize winner at the Gumtree
Folk Festival, and was a regular performer at
Townes Van Zandt's bar in Nashville.
Before leaving
Nashville and returning home to Virginia, Scott
wrote and produced the songs on his second album,
"Short Stories." Two of these songs
were selected by Virginia-based DCD Records in
1998 to appear on a compilation of Shenandoah
artists. - Scott Murray
Ed
Mccurdy The Blues Man - Born and raised in the
Washington D.C.area of Arlington Virginia, Ed was
also raised with a musical and artistic family
backround as well. Eds father stage name (Terry O'
Reiglly) mac McCurdy was a professional trumpeter
and composer back in the days of big band and
gangsters. An era his father loved and an era that
peaks Eds interest each time he thinks about the
ole days of music. Ed started out on the alto sax
when he was about 8 yrs old. His interest in the
reeded instrument did not hold out for long.So he
became attached with the idea of becoming a
drummer. Like his father said if your going to
play the drums you have to play with the ole
school Gene Crupa and Buddy Rich modo.
Lightly and Polightly. So Ed realized he
had a GOD given talent as he quickly progressed
with percussion. He was top of his game in each
class of elementary, Jr. High, And High School.
During his teen years at the age of 14 he
realized he had the natural ability to play piano
and write music. more info

Bucky Clark - Jazz, Blues, Swing,
Rock, even Country, Bucky Clark does it all, and
he does it with flair and style. His musical
education has been a long road, as he jokingly
makes reference to his many stops in at
least 8 or 9 colleges along the way. Among
these was a stint at the famed Berklee College of
Music in Boston, Shenandoah Music Conservatory,
James Madison University, Virginia Commonwealth
University, as well as the Army Element School of
Music in Norfolk, VA. His live experiences have
been equally varied, having played stages from
New York City to Boston and now, right here in
Charlottesville Virginia.
Bucky does more than just play sax
however. Hes the consummate showman, who
knows how to get a crowd to sit up and take
notice. His unique style and broad ranging
musical background assures the listener that
theyre at the right place, at the right
time. - Bucky Clark

Dave
Eakin and Steve Hoke blend of original,
traditional and contemporary string music pays
tribute to some of the great songwriters and
pickers of the rural music tradition while
remaining wholly unique.
Dave was born in raised in
Rockbridge County, long-known for having far more
than its fair share of world class musicians.
Dave is no exception. He grew up singing and
playing around Virginia in a variety of country,
rock, and acoustic groups. His tremendous voice
is an assortment of contradictions: worn but
smooth, expressive but understated, lonesome but
hopeful. When Dave sings and plays, it reflects
the mastery that comes only from having played
thousands of shows. - Mountain

Wild Blue Yonder
Band - Repeated airplay for a local
band on WIVK radio (107.7 fm in Knoxville, TN) is
as rare in East Tennessee as a possum making it
across the road. One of the top five country
radio stations in America, WIVK regularly wins
"Radio Station of the Year" industry
awards and tightly guards their format from
unsigned artists. Wild Blue Yonder, however, was
WIVK's most requested artist for two weeks in a
row with their novelty hit, "The Possum
Crawls Tonight," even beating out Kenny
Chesney. That achievement gained them notoriety
across the Southeast and a tote bag full of
possum stories from admiring fans.
One of Wild Blue Yonder's
more serious original songs, "It's Only Love,"
is featured in the romance/suspense novel "September
on Echo Creek" by D.L. Havlin. The "New
York City meets Appalachia" story line uses
the song to orchestrate its turning point, and a
disc of Wild Blue Yonder tunes is included in the
book jacket. - Knoxville TN Wedding Band - Knoxville TN Corporate Music
The
Velocity Band consists of a three-piece band
with Carl on lead guitar, keyboards and vocals,
Joe on bass and vocals and Ron on drums and
percussion. The current lineup of Velocity has
been in place for over 5 years and unlike most
bands, Carl and Ron have been playing together
since High School. Now that's experience! In that
time, the band has greatly expanded the range of
their repertoire to include many crowd favorites
as well as an extensive mix of modem and classic
rock songs.
The
Future of American Music Hangs In the Balance -
Never have so few companies controlled so much of the
music played on the radio and for sale at retail stores.
At the same time, there are more bands and more ways to
discover their music than ever. Music seems to have split
in two the homogenous corporate product that is
spoonfed to consumers and the diverse independent music
that finds devoted fans online and at clubs across the
country. - Watch now 1:28:26
